Our Group CEO recently took the stage at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 as a panelist to discuss innovative strategies for reducing food waste across the entire supply chain from farm to fork commenting on how to tackle this urgent challenge.
"We are committed to implementing sustainable practices across our operations, ensuring that we contribute to a more efficient and responsible food system. Our core business strategy revolves around sustainability, and we have implemented several initiatives to promote this like the 'Omnipreneurship Awards Sustainability Challenge', which invites innovators across the globe from various sectors to propose solutions for food waste reduction, supporting an ecosystem of shared knowledge and impactful changes in our practices said Mr. Zulfiqar Hamadani.
He had also explained how collaborative efforts & innovation are very essential in tackling food waste across the value chain.
“Partnerships are crucial for Tanmiah in our efforts to tackle waste effectively. One successful example of cross-industry collaboration is our partnership with the NCVC (National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification) to support vegetation growth, which not only enhances sustainability but also reduces waste by repurposing agricultural by-products. Such alliances demonstrate how different sectors can work together effectively to tackle food waste and promote sustainability" complemented Mr. Zulfiqar Hamadani.
