Tanmiah partners with Emerge to build a 3MWp solar power plant

We are excited to announce our partnership with Emerge, a joint venture company between Masdar and the EDF Group, to build a 3MWp solar power plant at Tanmiah’s Haradh facility. The agreement was signed at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in presence of Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Sheikhi, Assistant Deputy Minister for the Livestock and Fisheries sector, Zulfiqar Hamadani, Group CEO of Tanmiah Food Company, and Michel Abi Saab, General Manager of Emerge.

This project will supply 35% of the facility’s electricity needs and avoid more than 3,850 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually which is equivalent to the electricity usage of more than 800 households a year.

At Tanmiah, sustainability is at the heart of our strategy. By investing in renewable energy, we are taking a major step toward Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and driving meaningful change in the agricultural sector, supporting the Kingdom’s net-zero goals.

A big thank you to our teams and Emerge for their dedication and expertise as we embark on this transformative solar project. Together, we are paving the way for a cleaner, and more sustainable future.
