Method:
- Fry Tanmiah chicken wings in hot oil for 5 minutes or until fully cooked, then place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Heat a wok or large pan, add sesame seeds and stir until toasted and golden in color, being careful not to burn them.
- Add the vegetable oil, vinegar and soy sauce.
- Add sugar, garlic and ginger, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add grapefruit juice and a mixture of starch and water, stirring until well combined.
- Leave the mixture on medium-low heat for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens; stirring from time to time.
- Add the fried Tanmiah chicken wings, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often for an
even coating.
- Serve Tanmiah chicken wings placed on a serving dish and garnish with slices of green onion.
